The Presque Isle Community Library (previously known as Irma Stein Memorial Library) Has No Walls...
A member of the Northern Waters Library Service (NWLS), an organization which provides individuals living in rural areas with the same educational, cultural, and informational opportunities as those living in urban areas, the Presque Isle Community Library also has access to all Wisconsin libraries via WISCAT, and it is a member of the Merlin Consortium. The Merlin database allows internet access to the collections of all 29 NWLS member libraries.
To access Merlin on the internet, enter (or click on) http://nwls.wislib.org/ and click on Merlin If you wish to use Merlin to request or renew an item, you must use the barcode off your library card.
Available Resources
Available resources include fiction, non-fiction, books on tape, magazines, CDs, videos, and computers with free internet access via T-1 lines.
Children's Room
The Children's Room was designed with youth in mind. The children's area has a wonderful collection of books, puzzles, videos, games, references & Kid Time Kits.
Weekly Story Hour
Our weekly story hour and activity programs are offered with a special time set for the book checkout.
Library Cards are available free to the public and allow access to NWLS and Merlin.
Lending Periods
Any items may be renewed by visit or phone if
they haven't been reserved.

Mission Statement
Presque Isle Community Library provides community members of all ages, interests, and circumstances, with materials and services to meet their educational, informational, and recreational needs. Special emphasis is placed on stimulating young children's interests and appreciation for reading and learning. We will also strive to provide timely, accurate, and useful information for community members.

Volunteers work in the library, do special projects and help with fundraisers. The time they give is greatly appreciated.

Book Sale
Our book sale is an annual mid-summer event. Book donations are welcome all year.
