Thank you Presque Isle community members for your generous support of the Presque Isle Community Library!

Our new community library opened in June to rave reviews.  Both residents and visitors are thrilled with the inviting new exterior, increased space and expanded equipment and technology including 24/7 wireless internet access.  Since the grand opening in June, library use has doubled.

Due to this increased use and the continuing need for volunteers and financial support, the Library Board has authorized the formation of a Friends of the Presque Isle Community Library association to support quality library services, advocate for library- sponsored programs and conduct fundraising activities to support the library and its outreach activities. 

With your support, Friends of the Library could sponsor community events such as a special interest lecture series, an armchair travelogue, movie screenings, cooking classes, wine tastings and book club discussions.   We hope to not only sponsor events that bring people to our library but bring the library to those who are unable to get out of their homes thru a “Books on Wheels” program.

Whatever your skill or interest, the Friends of the Presque Isle Community Library can be a way for you and your family to be involved in the heart of our community.

We hope you will consider becoming a member of this exciting, new organization.  We are eager to hear from you about your ideas for how our library can add to our community and meet your needs.

The Friends will be holding a Monthly Movie Night at the Library, beginning in January.  The Friends will supply treats for the after-film social and discussion.  The library will supply the ambiance.  The Presque Isle Heritage Society is providing the large-screen projector.  Check the News & Events link (on the left side of your screen) for details of movie selections, dates, and times.

The Friends will be holding a Monthly Raffle.  For only $1 per ticket, you can have a chance at the Item of the Month".  You can purchase tickets at the library.  Please refer to the News & Events link (on the left side of your screen) for details of what the raffle is for, and the drawing dates and times.
